My Story

Hi, I’m Owen Crandall.
I’m a computer science student who landed an app developer internship at a startup.
When did I start coding?
I started coding with Python and block code in high school, around age 17, and made my first website and small game in that class.
Why did I continue?
I always knew I would do some STEM-related field, like engineering. Programming suits how my brain works—analytical, organized, and detail-oriented. Every line has to be exactly correct. Compared to math or chemistry, coding is more creative and using libraries is part of learning.
What do I think about college?
CS in college is great. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me topics I didn’t know. The content is modern enough, but you can’t learn everything in just a couple of years.
Why did I build this course?
This course is a collection of everything coding-related that I’ve taught myself and want to share. It offers a unique experience and is a record of my journey.
